Autumn é um trio De Gothic Rock dos USA.A banda é formada por julie plante (vocal, piano),neil mckay (guitarra, programaçao)e jeff leyda (baixo).O primeiro trabalho do grupo foi em 1996 com o album"the hating tree"no selo
tess records e produzido por william faith.Mais tarde em 2000 foi a vez de sair "return to the breath"novamente no selo tess records.Muitas das suas musicas sairam em colectaneas de musica dark."return to the breath(Voltar para a respiração)" é apropriadamente chamado porque é um retorno ao som do primeiro álbum. A letra é muito poética e bonita para ouvir através de Julie,a sua voz às vezes amarga cenários que me lembram de material do início dos The Cure em álbuns como "Faith" e "Seventeen Seconds".. Há um romantismo presente nas suas entradas. Canções que realmente pegam são as mais conhecidas como "red" e "shadowgirl", mas eu realmente gostava de ouvir as canções "Lullaby for Marguerite", "Still Breathing" e "All My Lovers".O som não é muito diferente de "the hating tree", e a música de ambos os álbuns são nada menos do que a beleza absoluta. Se es um fã de música gótica romântica, esta banda é para ti!
