Atrocity - Biografia - Discografia

Atrocity é uma banda de Gothic Metal da Alemanha formada Ludwigsburg em 1985.
A banda é composta por:Alex Krull(Vocal), Thorsten Bauer(Guitarra), Sander Van Der Meer(Guitarra), Alla Fedynitch(Baixo), Roland Navratil(Bateria).
Quando a banda começou em 1985, foi chamado instigadores e tocou grindcore. Atrocity começou como uma banda de death metal, e a sua estréia foi com o Blue Blood EP em 1989, seguido por um álbum conceitual sobre o uso de drogas, intitulado Hallucinations. O seu segundo álbum, Todessehnsucht ("Hunger for death"), se aventurou no death metal, com um cover de "Arch Angel" pela banda Death. Alargou o seu âmbito musical durante os anos, a banda ainda descobriu o medieval e influências de horror no seu Drácula baseado no conceito do álbum Atrocity Blut, em homenagem ao filme de sucesso Drácula de Bram Stoker. Foi lançado em 1994, e foi seguido por Calling The Rain, um MCD com vocais femininos e temas acústicos.
O lançamento de Willenskraft em 1996 introduziu elementos industriais e um CD bónus da edição especial do álbum (Kraft und Wille), mesmo incluídos remixes eletrônicos das canções. As versões mais recentes foram menos metálicas: Werk 80 versões de hits da década de 1980 caracterizam o disco, e a banda nao tinha nenhum sentido aparente para os anos seguintes: The Odd MCD-releases e músicas experimentais como Lili Marlene-covers (apresentado no Gemini).
