The Prayer é uma banda de Dark Electro/Goth da Irlanda do Norte/Alemanha formada em 1990.
A banda é composta por:Ian Miller(Vocal,Baixo,Teclados,Letras,Programaçao), Thorsten Schaefer(Guitarra,Bateria), Henry Monheimius(Guitarra,Baixo,Sintetizadores,Vocal).Michael O'Neil um dos membros fundadores em 1990 suicidou-se em 1994.Combinam guitarras dark com elementos Industriais.È um Dark, estilo EBM down-tempo. Naturalmente, as faixas variam em velocidade e tempo, que é o que faz com que os álbuns fiquem interessantes. Ainda que seja intencional, uma série de faixas adicionam uma sensação atmosférica, enquanto outros adicionam elementos industriais para aprofundar ainda mais a complexidade da música.
