Poésie Noire - Biografia - Discografia

Poésie Noire foi uma banda belga de coldwave que chegou à fama em meados dos anos 80 e cuja carreira no ativo durou até o início de 1990. A sua origem belga e tendência a desenvolver a goth-orientado, sintético, o universo sombrio, com vozes de baixa frequência - Poésie Noire poderia traduzir por "Black / Dark Poetry"
Eles tinham se categorizado como EBM, tais como outros membros belgas da cena musical de 1980 industrial como um;Grumh ou A Split-Second. No entanto, muito à maneira de várias bandas de renome EBM como os belgas The Neon Judgement e, em certa medida, Front 242, que declararam, através da sua música, uma vontade de se afastar da agressividade habitual industrial que caracterizou o Electronic body music e desenvolveu um som mais pop acessível dark que os ajudou a ser considerados como simples New Wave ou New Wave Goth.
