And Also The Trees - Biografia - Discografia

Em 1979 os irmãos Simon (vocal) e Justin Jones (guitarra) decidiram transformar todo tédio bucólico da vila rural onde viviam (Worcestershire, Inglaterra) em música, ao lado dos amigos Steven Burrows (baixo) e Nick Havas (bateria). Vendo que os The Cure estava a procura de uma banda de suporte, os And Also The Trees enviaram uma demo. Eles acabaram sendo escolhidos para abrir alguns concertos da banda de Robert Smith em 1981. Essa oportunidade lhes rendeu óptimas criticas e por fim acabaram por gravar o single de estréia (“Shantell”) e esse album com o produtor Lol Tolhurst (conhecido por alguns trabalhos com o Cure). Se trata de uma das tantas preciosidades de duas décadas atrás. Referencias instrumentais a Joy Division e Chameleons UK. Trilha que não soa datada de um pesadelo febril e débil.
A banda é composta por Emer Brizzolara, Ian Jenkins, Justin Jones, Paul Hill, Simon Huw Jones, Steven Burrows.
A banda acaba de fazer 30 anos e para presentear os fans mais um album para a sua lista infinita,"When The Rains Come"de 2009.
